Using the Capture Screen Tool

Our Jitbit helpdesk is equipped with a powerful screen capture tool when submitting a new ticket. This feature enables you to effectively document how to reproduce the issue or capture any error messages that appear. By providing this visual information, our support team can gain a clearer understanding of your issue and allow them to resolve your issue more effectively.

Available Options

  • Record Screen
    • This option captures a video of your screen. Screen recordings can be helpful when your issue requires multiple steps to get to the error.
  • Take a Screenshot
    • This option captures a single image of your screen. Screenshots can be helpful when trying to show error messages.
  • Record from Camera
    • This option captures a video from your webcam. Camera recording can be helpful if you are trying to show a physical issue with another device outside of your computer or in your environment.

Using the Capture Screen Tool

  1. Click on the New ticket button
  2. On the bottom right corner of your response, click on the paperclip icon and select Capture screen
  3. Make a selection based upon what type of capture will best show the issue
  4. If you are using Record screen or Record from camera there may be an option to enable the microphone. If you do not need this feature, click on the Cancel button
  5. Choose the option based on what you are trying to capture. Use Window or Entire Screen if you are trying to capture the screen outside of the browser window.
  6. Click the Save button to add the recording to your ticket
  7. To view your attachment, click on the paperclip icon and the capture should be listed on top. You may discard the capture by clicking on the X icon.
  8. Submit the ticket
